It has now seized being news that WhatsApp's Jan Koum signed the USD19 Billions facebook deal, however, in today's issue lets try to look what one of the world's most successful messaging application that in its earlier stages drove Google crazy is to turn out to be.

We all know Facebook, yeah, yeah we al do, its that blue and white social media web site that brought 'L' to the 'social media'. In fact it sounds undermining not mentioning that this has been the most successful social media. Looking back at all those that had a share of their time like MySpace and Hi5. However, however much the social media has shared quite a successful run in terms of user growth beating all its close competitors such a twitter, you can't fail to point out that however much it has enjoyed this growth in users its share market with its IPO being deemed as the worst. In addition to that numerous research has continuously indicated that the social media site is increasingly losing popularity.

And WhatsApp, we all know that sleek messaging app that we all can't get enough, a number of people have continuously deemed it a home wrecker because over the years we the users have continuously grown addictive of the app. Unlike facebook, whatsapp was incorporated in 2009 by two former Yahoo employees that were turned down by facebook itself and twitter and these are Brian Acton and Jan Koum and it has since then enjoyed a tremendous user growth.

So the big question would be why would Facebook be cashing out nearly half its worth for just a mere messaging app when they've already gotten  their own app facebook messenger in place along with online ventures such as instagram that it acquired two years ago at a peanut . Well during a briefing about the development, Mark Zuckerberg the founder Facebook noted that they decided to acquire the messaging platform because it has a deeper reach compared to that of facebook. Of course one thing he forgot to note, WhatsApp has had a bigger user growth compared to facebook.

For a platform that was rolled out 5 years to be the world's most used platform that is of course something big. The other key point to note is the fact that WhatsApp has greatly edged facebook and made the look like a joker no matter the updates and up grades.

So now that the two have merged, whats the way forward? Truth be told, I pen this down as a scared person just like most of the critical persons out there. Well in simple breakdown we all know WhatsApp till of late as a more private networking app, kinda enforces that Vegas motto whereas facebook on the other hand is more open to the entire community. However that aint the biggest fear the biggest concern is will WhatsApp carry those random spam messages from totally unknown people telling us how beautiful our profiles look.

The last straw that will break our hearts, not the camel's there are no camels here its just us the user and the addicts is what will happen now, facebook has gotten a reputation of positive reply to every NSA and CIA user data request so now that the merger is a done deal, will it be the same case with WhatsApp now. Down in Africa in a country Uganda an anti-pornography bill has just been passed and its targeting anything obscene when we well all know that whatsapp has and is a port  for erotic stuff transmission from images, messages, audio and video, so when the Government of Uganda asks for the user information, will the request be replied positively?

Lets talk about the effect that this merger has gotten to the other technology players, the telecom companies. We have just witnessed two of the biggest home wreckers and sources of infidelity in marriages pool resources to become one. This literally means that the two technologies that have continuously rendered traditional communication,( i.e telephone calls and sms texting) passive have joined hands. This means that telecom companies ought to work on new profit making strategies that is they now need to establish themselves as full time data providers because between you and me, when is the last time you did send a traditional sms or make a phone call to someone that has WhatsApp, facebook or skype.

The last concerned is so, how will the new 'Facebook - WhatsApp' interface look like? Will it be blue and white all over the place and are they going to scrap the interface customization option? Yet then so whats going to be the new user identification style, facebook is know for keeping things nice and easy for you all out there as long as u go beyond reciting the alphabet to organizing those 25 characters and make a sentence out of this.

The biggest pray we are all praying is that hopefully, facebook doesn't kill WhatsApp, hopeful so help us Zuckerberg.
